The Society is a community of over 100 members who have been meeting since 1986.

Membership covers the Blue Mountains from Lapstone to Mount Victoria, it also attracts some members from other areas.

Our aims are to promote the enjoyment of art, to increase community awareness, and to provide opportunities to expand knowledge in artistic skills.

The following gives a brief overview of some of our activities:

  • Monthly meetings (AGMs March each year)
  • Demonstrations by well known artists
  • Constructive critique sessions of members' works.
  • Social get-togethers, Mini Exhibitions (“Members Choice” at some of the monthly meetings)
  • Annual Spring Exhibition (judged)
  • Annual Autumn Exhibition
  • Exhibitions as part of local festivals.
  • On-line gallery for exposure of members' work
  • Monthly plein-air painting excursions
  • Painting Holidays for members and partners
  • Regular Art Classes and Workshops organized by the Society
  • Pre-Christmas and mid-year luncheons for members and partners
  • New Year Picnic, third Thursday of January
  • Lending library of Art Books DVDs.
  • Membership Card which entitles a discount at many art supply outlets.
     

The Society meets on the third Thursday of each month at 1pm from February to November, at Wentworth Falls School of Arts, Great Western Highway, Wentworth Falls. Visitors are welcome.
